Correction / Retraction Policy
Our commitment
When we make a mistake, we correct it promptly and openly.
Types of changes
- Correction: a factual error (a name, number, date, place or quote) is fixed and a note is added to the story.
- Clarification: the story was accurate but unclear or incomplete; we add context.
- Update: new facts emerge after publication; we add them and show the update time.
- Retraction: a story is found to be substantially wrong or unverifiable; we withdraw it and publish a clear retraction notice explaining why.
How to request a correction
Send us the link to the story, the part you believe is wrong and, if possible, supporting evidence. Use the Grievance Officer form or email info@tspnews.in.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your request within 24 hours.
- The editor reviews the facts and decides within 15 days; urgent factual errors are fixed sooner.
- Corrections appear on the story with the date of the change. We do not silently alter published facts.
- You are informed of the outcome.
Removal of content
We do not delete accurate reports to remove embarrassment. Content may be taken down or edited where required by law, a court or a competent authority, or to protect a person’s safety or the identity of a victim or minor. Where we do so, the change is recorded.
